Sunset Shimmer

Sunset, as of Movie 4 Legend of Everfree as a form of empathy and telepathy. As such, she can hear very loud surface thoughts such as angry exclamations, internal squealing and others within a meter proximity. She can't hear actual words at this point, but she can understand your emotional state.

The other thing she has is a Touch Telepathic connection, able to see into memories with skin to skin touch. She can do this willingly or inadvertently, but for the most part has a definite control over the Telepathy. She cannot send her emotions into anyone, merely see into your characters memories and emotional state.

Personality: At a glance, Sunset is confident and willing to do whatever it takes to make sure her friends are safe. With a bond between girls who were once enemies due to her actions, Sunset has pushed past her previous history and remade herself into the girl she is today. Strong and confident, she is also willing to learn things as they come along.

Going deeper into her story, Sunset has become one of the most iconic figures of Canterlot High. She uses this position to better understand friendship in all of its forms, and blends her own values and beliefs with these changes in her life. She feels responsible for everything bad that happened at Canterlot High, but has never dwelled deep enough to leave it when times got tough. Her strength lays within her ability to understand others, but also admit when she is wrong.

Sunset has become a independent character, who holds the alternate human Mane Six, now eight, together. Without relying on Princess Twilight to guide her, Sunset has learned her own lessons towards friendship, and applies it directly to her actions. That isn't to say she isn't prone to excessive behavior or the fact that she can become enraged very quickly when stressed out. Her former temper is what gets her into trouble a lot, and creates tensions between people and ponies alike.

Her temper, as well as her old regrets and lust for power have been major weaknesses for her. She creates situations that she, like Twilight, thinks she needs to answer on her own. She can't take the fact of not knowing what is wrong seriously, and manages to create a situation where she herself can get angered or frustrated by actions, thoughts and her own personal self loathing. Her self loathing isn't destructive by any means, but rather a constant motivator as she learns to push herself through these dark troubles.

In all, Sunset is a complex character who is still feeling out the effects of magic and friendship alike, as her world goes hand in hand with both of these things.
